Peaches was a 12 lb. Pomeranian, caught running on the streets of Santa Barbara in 2010. I adopted her the first day she became available. The shelter estimated her to be 3 – 5 years old.
She was my best friend for over 10 years. She began coughing in the mornings. Due to the recent California wild fires, I thought the smoke was to blame. When the cough got worse, we made a trip to the emergency animal hospital. Then came the diagnosis of Hemangiosarcoma. A rare cancer in a small breed, female dog. Within 3 days, she was gone. It is a very cruel disease. Peaches was a wonderful dog and I will miss her always.
