Honestly, I’d really wish they’d have called it World Cancer Awareness Day. Somehow World Cancer Day just doesn’t sound very positive.

Anyway, from the UICC: On the 4th of February, 2011, the Union for International Cancer Control and its partner organizations will run campaigns all over the world to raise awareness for a disease that causes millions of deaths every year [both human and animal], many of which could have been prevented.

More than ever before there is a need for a concerted and coordinated fight against cancer, and the UICC believes that World Cancer Day can play its part by providing an even bigger platform for cancer messages.

Sharing from BoneCancerDogs, IncPlease take 5 minutes Friday, February 4th to share your cancer knowledge with someone you know. With 1 in 4 dogs getting tumors in their lifetime, the more info shared the better. Let the voices of those who have been affected by cancer be heard.
