Vern is a 6 year old Great Pyrenees who was recently diagnosed with osteosarcoma. He is undergoing chemo and a bone builder IV drip. Vern was the lead dog in the Puppy Up Walk in Raleigh. Cancer can’t keep a good dog down and it will never stop Vern from doing what he does best, sharing LOVE. He will have good days and bad days but he is always happy to meet new friends and share love. Vern’s favorite motto, “All we need is love” is now accompanied with #Believe (from Trooper), “Not today and not without a fight” (from Jake), and for those buddies and all of the many dogs taken away from us by cancer, #caninecancersucks Woof! *lick*
Sadly, Vern lost his fight with osteosarcoma on September 20, 2015. His many friends around the world mourn his loss. But more importantly, the positive outlook that inspired his life emboldens us to remain in the fight against cancer.
