“Our one-eyed warrior is going through a second puppyhood.”
Benji was diagnosed in January 2020 with Oral Melanoma – a very aggressive cancer. We began treatment immediately. Benji’s tumors were in his lower mouth, under his tongue, and we were told this gave us more of a chance of his surviving.
He gets X-Rays and an Oncept injection every six months.
He loves treats, and toys, playing with his daughter Bella, and his “adopted” son, Cotton. Our neighbors know Benji and always stop and say “hello” when he’s in the front yard. He woofs “hello” back! Most of all, Benji loves to cuddle. He sleeps in between human mama and daddy at night. We can’t fall asleep until each of us has an arm around our one-eyed warrior.
