Maddie.
Every day, from now until our calendar contest ends on October 1st, we’ll feature several of our calendar dog contestants. We’d like you to meet Maddie.
(by Jennifer Teters) This is Maddie. On the 16th of March both she and her sister were diagnosed with cancer of the mammary glands. Desi, her sister, was able to undergo the surgery and was it successful. Maddie’s health wasn’t good enough to make it through a surgery.
Benita, her owner, has changed her diet with hopes that she will become strong enough for surgery. Otherwise the vet gave her one year.
Maddie is family. She is my cocker’s mama. She needs more time, as do all of our furbabies with cancer.
Maddie wanted to show her spirited side, so she put on her grass skirt and lei.
