Goldie
Every day, from now until our calendar contest ends on October 1st, we’ll feature several of our calendar dog contestants. We’d like you to meet Goldie.
In Memory of Goldie
(by Mike Wernsign) Goldie came to join me in April 2000 from a rescue for a companion for a 6 month old Golden.
Always happy with a smile and never meeting a stranger.
This transformed in 2007 to him being registered as a Therapy dog, visiting a local children’s hospital and working with abused children on a regular basis.
The Monday before Thanksgiving 2010 he became lethargic and when examined a Hemangiosarcoma was discovered and had ruptured and surgery was ruled out due to age.
He passed on Sunday November 27 2010.
