Coopers-last-days-050.JPG

We got Cooper as a puppy for our son Jensen, who had just turned 3 and has Autism. He was to be Jensen’s companion, best friend, and pet therapy dog. He was all of that and more. Cooper had an awesome life. Ate excellent dog food and treats that were all natural and GMO free. We use organic products, eat organic food, and buy organic cosmetics. We stayed on top of his vet check ups and also his Frontline and Heartguard. In hindsight, maybe not the best idea. He was diagnosed with a sinus tumor 2 weeks after his well check this May, 2013. He had about 10 good weeks. I pumped him full of holistic cancer support meds. He took a turn the last week of August and we had him euthanized on August 30th. He left a devastated little boy and family behind. Our vet told us the cancer he had was not unusual for this breed. This photo is of his last morning with us. He is with Jensen, his best friend.
