Delilah
Every day, from now until our calendar contest ends on October 1st, we’ll feature several of our calendar dog contestants. We’d like you to meet Delilah.
(by Cindy Massmann) Delilah was my sweetheart, my little baby (because the thirty pound lab-mix was already the big baby).
She came into my life at the age of four, having never lived in a house before. We had our ups and downs (she hastened my bathroom remodel by removing the flooring and moldings). But I wouldn’t change a thing.
She was diagnosed with bone cancer in 2009 right before Christmas. She made it through her twelfth birthday.
Though she’s gone now, she lasted over a year, running like the crazy beauty she was. I miss her.
