Grand Marshal Circle Tail, their President, Jen Kiblinger, and Amy and her service dog Cortez lead the way
Thanks to Patty Gartmann for this great blog.
What can I say about the Cincinnati 2MD Puppy Up Walk?? WOW! I was truly touched by everyone’s enthusiasm, dedication and friendliness. Such great people and truly wonderful dogs filled the Purple People Bridge on a beautiful November day to join together and fight cancer!! We were quite a sight walking over that big purple bridge and weaving our way through Sawyer Point Park.
Our Grand Marshal was a service team from Circle Tail. President, Jen Kiblinger, and Amy Hoh with her service dog, Cortez, led us on our Puppy Up Walk. Before the walk began, Jen told the crowd about Circle Tail, an amazing organization, and then Amy told us about Cortez and how he enriches her life and the things he does to help her. It was truly inspiring and I look forward to working with this organization in the future.
We had wonderful local sponsors including Rudy Green’s, Red Cross, Pet Pages, Louisville Weimaraner Rescue, Buckeye Bernese Mountain Dog Club, and John LaFree doing fabulous Custom Pet Caricatures!
We had volunteers to help us with registration and selling Puppy Up! Walk merchandise, cub scouts helping at our water stations, and several walkers taking photos and videos of the event.
Special thanks go to
Sandy Guile for helping us reach out to media sources to spread the word about the Puppy Up! Walk! I also want to thank my family for encouraging me through all of this and for being there at our Walk and helping to make it successful. I was thrilled to have several walkers volunteer their time for next year’s Walk! Their enthusiasm was wonderful and great to know that our passion for this mission is shared by so many.
Without the final numbers reported yet from Signe, I would say we had 70
walkers attending! We thank all of them for coming out and spending the day with us and raising awareness and funds for K9 cancer research and comparative oncology research.
