PUPPIES!
March 23rd Is National Puppy Day
If you’ve ever owned a puppy you know that there’s nothing sweeter than puppy breath – and nothing sharper than puppy teeth. Puppies embody a magic unequaled. Watching puppies tumble and play fill us with joy. They teach our children about love and responsibility. And they teach all of us about their fearless spirit. That fearless, undaunted spirit was and continues to be the energy behind the PuppyUp Foundation. But how did National Puppy Day get started, and what is it?
Colleen Paige is credited with starting National Puppy Day in 2006, and National Puppy Day is “considered an international holiday now, as it’s trended worldwide on Twitter in 2012, 2013 & 2014 and 2015.”
“National Puppy Day is a special day to celebrate the magic and unconditional love that puppies bring to our lives. But more importantly, it’s a day to help save orphaned puppies across the globe and educate the public about the horrors of puppy mills.”
