Sometimes when people find us there’s a happy ending. Sometimes it’s not about cancer. Sometimes it’s just about love. Enjoy this note from Stephanie Baxter.
I’d like to share with you how we came to know about 2 Million Dogs and the very special weekend we just had in Madison, CT.
Mosby is our ~5 year old rescue Schnauzer mix. He’s the love of our lives. I always say that Mosby isn’t really demanding of anything, except our love and affection. Ken has grown up with dogs, but Mo is the first dog I’ve ever had and he’s brought so much joy and fulfillment to my life.
This past weekend, my boyfriend, Ken, and I celebrated our anniversary at a doggy friendly bed and breakfast in Madison, CT. Ken surprised me with a photo shoot for Mosby with Kathryn Schauer (http://kathrynschauerphotography.com/), in and around Madison. So on Saturday afternoon, Kathryn met us and began snapping Mosby romping around in the leaves. Little did I know, the real surprise was for me in a bag filled with doggy treats. Ken proposed to me there with Mosby by our side and Kathryn captured the whole thing. It was a perfect day.
Kathryn told us about the 2 Million Dogs event at Hammonasset State Park in CT on Sunday and we were thrilled to check it out. Ken and I were moved by the event and organization. We’re happy to have 2 Million Dogs on our radar now and very happy to support the great cause.
I’ve attached pictures from our engagement.
Best,
Stephanie and Ken and Mosby
