This is Part 1 of 2 episodes and a first for Fuzzybutts & Friends. Dr. Andi Flory, Chief Medical Officer and co-founder, joins us to tell the story of how liquid biopsy, a technology being commercialized for humans, has successfully been translated for our canine companions. And by successful, the numbers are staggering for their diagnostic technology – OncoK9.
According to their clinical trial of over 1,000 client owned dogs in over 40 international & US sites – the detection rate for OncoK9 of the top 3 cancers (lymphoma, hemangio & osteosarcomas) is 85.4%. The percentages drop for the ADDITIONAL 27 types of cancers they also detect but for me as a pet parent, worth the investment.
We are so excited about these numbers that Yer Big Dog and his occasionally trusty co-host, Ginger Morgan, couldn’t wait to sign their Fuzzybutts up for the OncoK9 tests. VIP Test kits are currently being shipped to us!
