Josh Bittinger

“He was my wingman, my ride or die, my Teddy Bear.”

I adopted Josh 8 years ago and I never could have imagined the people we would meet or things he would teach me.  He was overlooked in the shelter system for months because of his breed, color or size.  People might have judged him but he never judged them – he only loved!  He was a gentle soul who loved everyone regardless of his past. He loved car rides and his blue stuffie.  He was my wingman, my ride or die, my Teddy Bear.

Josh left us in 2019 after his 3-year fight with cancer. He was my best friend and taught me a lot about how to face life and adversity and how to love everyone.  He definitely loved everyone and they loved him back. There is a hole in my heart that nothing can replace, but I know Joshua would be so proud of the work being supported by this calendar.

NOTE: Josh is featured in the month of December in our 2021 “Cancer Can’t Keep a Good Dog Down” Calendar.

If your pet has also been touched by cancer, please consider entering him or her in the 2023 Calendar contest. It will open in the Spring of 2022.
