This month is National Pet Cancer Awareness Month. We are choosing to celebrate the lives of those who lost their battle and those who are our Cancer Fighting Superheroes who live another day to fetch a ball; swim in the lake or who comfort us by being our constant companion. We want you to share your fun stories and photos with us this month.

Our first story is about Malcolm a Great Pyrenees, he was Luke Robinson’s (the Founder of The Puppy Up Foundation) first Pyrenees. Malcolm was diagnosed with bone cancer and had his leg amputated. Luke thought that only having three legs would slow Malcolm down. One early morning Luke was sitting outside drinking his coffee and reading the newspaper with Malcolm by his side. All of a sudden Malcolm shot off the porch at top speed to chase a squirrel proving that cancer can’t keep a good dog down.
We celebrate Malcolm’s life as he is the original reason the Foundation exists and why we’ve committed to funding over $700,000 for cancer research in pets and people. He is also the reason we remind everyone to check their dogs for lumps and bumps at least once a month.

Who do you celebrate?
